Nakusp and Area Bike Society is seeking individuals with a bit of time to volunteer for its board of directors.
A few of our board members would like to take a rest for a while, and we're hoping that we can find some members of the community to step in and take part in continuing this great community asset.
This is an exciting team to be a part of. The local mountain bike trails have become a huge source of enjoyment for locals, and a draw that brings tourism to the area and to local businesses.
NABS has a focus of trail development suitable for a range of abilities, trail maintenance, skill development for youth and adults, and building a fun, inclusive community spirit around local mountain biking.
Ideally we'd love to see a mix of volunteers that include: - Local mountain bike trail users - Community members with past board experience, a knowledge of society rules and bylaws (even if you're not a mountain biker, your board experience would be a great asset!) - Parents of children who enjoy the bike trails - ... Or some other combination of enthusiasm for what NABS is creating, time to volunteer, and board experience.
